Awapatent's Corporate Responsibility (CR) is a matter of openness, trustworthiness and attractiveness. It is about taking responsibility for our interaction and involvement with clients and partners, the environment, our employees and society in general. As a leading consultancy firm, we want to be associated with a strong brand and also to set a good example in these matters.
Our CR work is divided into three main areas: "Responsible business", "Environment" and "People and society". Within each of them we have drawn up one or more policy documents. Please see links to the right.
Awapatent engages with the outside world partly by supporting a variety of organisations and projects. This is a two-way process and is intended to benefit both parties. Awapatent for its part can offer both financial assistance and skills support through its sponsorship and partnership undertakings.
Support for SOS Children's Villages
For a couple of years now Awapatent has been a sponsor company to SOS Children's Villages. Awapatent's donation supports a project in Dassa-Zoumé in Benin, West Africa, where SOS Children's Villages run a project for families in need. About 225 children are included and they receive education, healthcare, food and psychological support. Their parents benefit from training, advice and microloans to help them start their own businesses. The aim is to help the families to become self-supporting and independent.
Support for Team Rynkeby
Awapatent is a gold sponsor of Team Rynkeby, an organisation supporting leading child cancer charities in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands and Iceland. Team Rynkeby arranges a variety of fund-raising events, the largest being a cycle ride to Paris each summer with 1,700 participants. Started on the initiative of Rynkeby Foods in Denmark in 2002, Team Rynkeby raised just over €8.84 million to fight childhood cancer in 2016.
Support for Médecins Sans Frontières
Awapatent is a "Corporate Supporter 2017" of Médecins Sans Frontières, which is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation delivering emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. They assist people regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
Other important collaborations
Awapatent also works closely with a number of universities, business incubators, research villages, business partners and venture capital organisations on projects with the potential to deliver mutual benefit. Our work with sponsorship and partnership includes direct financial support as well as assistance in the form of consulting time.
A recent example is Awapatent's partnership in GEN-PEP, which is a royal initiative to encourage children and young people in Sweden to exercise more and eat healthy. Awapatent has supported the organization with all trademark related matters. Read more in our news article.
