Merger with Internationalt Patent-Bureau approved

Awapatent is pleased to announce that it was decided at an extraordinary general meeting held today to approve the merger with Internationalt Patent-Bureau, thereby establishing the company as one of Europe’s largest consultancy agencies within intellectual property law and the third largest in Denmark. The merger becomes effective as of 1 January.

“We are two strong companies that together will be even stronger,” says Awapatent’s CEO Magnus Hallin. “We complement each other well and this merger will give weight and breadth to our expertise that few other companies can match.”

The newly merged company will have 13 offices in Sweden, Denmark and Germany and a total of 350 staff, including 79 in Denmark. The Danish office, to be located in Internationalt Patent-Bureau’s premises, will be headed by Christian Akhøj.
